Barr Smith Library open 24/7 during building works

The Library is about to undergo a long-anticipated air conditioning and lighting upgrade, beginning Wednesday 13 August. During these works, the Library’s 24/7 Level 3 study spaces will be unavailable. However, the good news is that we’re extending our opening hours for students and staff in an effort to reduce disruption.

During this time:

• All levels of the Barr Smith Library will be available 24/7 to students and staff via
  • Level 1 Barr Smith Lawns entrance (using your ID card after 7pm and before 8am)
  • Level 3 Barr Smith Library entrance leading to stairwell (just follow the zebra crossing from the Hub - use your ID card after 7pm and before 8am)
• Laptops and iPads are still available for borrowing on Level 3 via the self-service unit
• Requests and High Use collections will be temporarily relocated and available on Level 3
• Lift access within the Library available to and from Levels 1 and 2 only
• Toilets on Level 3 will remain open
• Adaptive Technology Suite has relocated and can be found on Level 3 of the Hub (Barr Smith South 346)
• Access Suite has been relocated to Level 3 of the Hub (Barr Smith South 3035)
