Professor Gus Nathan delivers keynote at ASPACC 2025

Interim ISER Director Professor Gus Nathan recently gave a keynote presentation at the 15th Asia-Pacific Conference on Combustion in Singapore. The ASPACC is an essential forum within the combustion research community that resides in the Asia-Pacific region, with a wide range of participants from academia and industry.
This year’s theme was “building a zero-carbon and sustainable future” ASPACC 2025 is set to drive major progress in decarbonisation research, champion sustainable combustion technologies, and strengthen both regional and global collaboration to tackle the challenges of climate change and environmental sustainability.
Professor Nathan’s keynote presentation focused on oppportunities and research challenges for high temperature flow reactors in heavy industry decarbonisation. He also spoke on a panel title the “Impact of H2 blending on the combustion performance of an industrial-scale hot gas generator for iron ore pelletizing: A numerical study”.
