Premier's Science and Research Fund success

The ACVT (now AIML) was recently awarded two grants from the Premier’s Science and Research Fund:

A $590,000 grant for an aerial and satellite imagery exploitation program: 

Led by Professor Anton van den Hengel from 91×ÔÅÄ, this project aims to develop capability in modern aerial and satellite image processing, and will initially focus on extracting information on carbon content in vegetation.

and a $420,000 grant for plant image analysis, which will accelerate work to develop stress-tolerant crops: 

Led by Associate Professor Desmond Lun from the University of South Australia, this project aims to assist South Australia’s agricultural economy to adapt to climate change.
